What Does Dr. Renai Do For Fun???
"Fun is overrated!" Dr. Renai laughed. "I had a lot of fun when I was younger. I followed every whim and curiosity. Very few regrets. My fun now is getting to enjoy peaceful moments...to slow down and make deliberate, intentional choices that are authentic to my soul instead of allowing external influences to guide my path."
She continues, "After dedicating a good portion of my life to formal academic programs and professional work that consumed me, I finally get to read for pleasure, watch a good TV show, laugh with my mom and friends, and sing (albeit unmelodious and off key) at the top of my lungs at a gospel concert. Occasionally, I might explore an art gallery, attend a play or musical, or just engage in an insightful conversation. These are the past times that bring me joy...and that I fun for me."
"I love making a purposeful and meaningful contribution to humanity with my work, whether it be career-oriented or volunteer. That is most significant to me. And besides, God loves old people! It's all over the Bible from Abraham to Sarah to Moses to Naomi to Elizabeth. So, I'm certain that the best is yet to come! I haven't even done my best work yet."
